Paris (France) / Saint-Imier (Switzerland), 4 October 2015 – The Qatar prix de l’Arc de Triomphe provided its large audience with unequalled thrilling moments in Longchamp on Sunday 4 October as the crowds watched with bated breath Lanfranco Dettori on Golden Horn finish on the first place. Official Partner and Official Timekeeper of this extraordinary race for the fifth consecutive year, Longines was also presenting another international Group 1 race on the same day, the Prix de l’Opéra Longines, won by Covert Love ridden by Patrick Joseph Smullen.
Sunday 4 October 2015, the ten thousands of spectators gathered in the enclosure have been holding their breath until Golden Horn and Lanfranco Dettori were the first across the finish line to carry off the 2,400-metre Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe. For the fifth consecutive year, Longines had the privilege to measure the performances of the best international jockeys and horses that have been competing against each other on the prestigious Longchamp racecourse.
The Swiss watch brand was also presenting an international Group 1 race, the Prix de l’Opéra Longines. This elegant 2000 meter race reserved for thoroughbred fillies and mares aged three years or older was won by Covert Love ridden by Patrick Joseph Smullen.
