Saudi Intermobility Expo 2024 Kicks-Off Today: Region’s Largest Road and Mobility Exhibition

-Saudi Intermobility Exhibition was inaugurated by His Excellency Eng. Badr Abdullah Al-Dulami, Vice Minister at the Ministry of Transport, and CEO of Roads General Authority

-It is organised with the support of Roads General Authority (RGA) as the event’s Official Strategic Partner and has started witnessing a successful exhibition and conference in the Middle East’s event history

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, 11th November 2024:

Informa, the global leader for events in the Middle East region, successfully kick-starts the Saudi Intermobility Expo 2024 on November 11, 2024, at the Jeddah Center for Exhibitions & Events. The event was successfully inaugurated by His Excellency Eng. Badr Abdullah Al-Dulami, Excellency Vice Minister of Transport For Road Affairs, And Acting CEO of the Roads General Authority (RGA) marking a significant milestone in the legacy of over a decade of innovation in the Kingdom of Saudi region. In his opening address, he expressed gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and his Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, for their invaluable support across all sectors, particularly in realizing the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. The vision paves the way for ambitious transformation, aiming to enhance infrastructure and support economic growth by strengthening transportation and logistics services nationwide.

Commenting on the successful commencement of the event, Eng. Badr Abdullah Al-Dulami, Excellency Vice Minister of Transport For Road Affairs, And Acting CEO of the Roads General Authority, further commented, “We proudly play a vital role in supporting our nation’s vision to become a hub for safe, sustainable, and interconnected transport systems, not only by enhancing regional mobility but also by meeting international standards to ensure safety, economic vitality, and tourism growth across Saudi Arabia’s extensive road network. With this, I assure you that we are committed to achieving the strategic objectives that will see 50% of roads certified under international standards by 2030. This commitment includes holding major industry events, such as the Saudi Roads Code, aimed at aligning national roads with environmental and safety benchmarks while introducing cutting-edge technologies and supporting economic sectors that rely on infrastructure.”

Adoring the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s future, he further added, “Our mission includes an impressive fleet of smart, eco-friendly solutions that improve road sustainability, with a goal to achieve a 40% reduction in environmental impact. Lastly, as we close, we reaffirm our commitment to Vision 2030’s goals, which aim to support economic growth and enhance safety standards. We are delighted to announce that Riyadh will host the Saudi Intermobility Expo again next year in 2025.”
On the first day, an informative conference takes the spotlight witnessing interesting panel discussions topics like- setting regional collaboration through regulations, policies, and partnerships; leadership session: building a strong Saudi Arabia – leveraging smart supply chains, logistics and value management for economic growth; enhancing road safety through vision 2030; the smart parking revolution in KSA.

The productive day of the Expo saw a great line of industry speakers delivering key sessions. The list includes- Mr Mohammed Aljoufie, Professor of Transportation Planning at King Abdulaziz University & Mobility Advisor at Jeddah Governorate Development Authority along with prominent figures, including Rusty Russell, Executive Director of Mobility at Red Sea Global; Saleh Saeed Al-Marri, Ministry of Transport, State of Qatar; and Sultan Alkarbi, Intercity Railway Rights and Concessions Director at Transport General Authority (TGA); Eng Mohammed Abdulkarim Alanazi, Director – Bridges & Tunnels Operations & Maintenance Department at Riyadh Municipality; among other professionals in the transportation, mobility, infrastructure, and sustainability fields.
