Middle East Cleaning and Hygiene Industry witnessedan unprecedented growth ahead of the Middle East Cleaning Technology Week (MECTW) to be held from 2 to 4 November, 2015.Themarket is likely to touch AED 300 billion by the year 2020; with opportunities to maximize productivity, cleaning and hygiene companies in the region have tremendous potential to grow. This was concluded at the panel discussion held by MECTW;wherein eminent panellists from government as well as private sector came together to discuss the potential of the market and the best practices, which could be adopted to secure a sustainable today, better tomorrow.

Through the upcoming trade shows, conferences, awards and associated eventsthe exhibition will play host to all pillars that hold the cleaning and facilities management industry together,” said organiser of the Expo Jayaraman Nair, Chairman, VIS.
He concluded saying “the exhibition aims to provide a common platform for industry stalwarts, also to discuss trends, challenges and best practices along with showcasing productive opportunities in the thriving sector.”
Major companies ranging from linen care,commercial laundry business, car wash and car care mechanisms, cleaning and hygiene solutions will be the key highlights at MECTW 2015.
Furthermore in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, of achieving sustainable development throughout the country, MECTW’s panel discussion “Sustainable Today, Better Tomorrow” is a step towards a green future. The discussionthrew spotlight on new innovative and green technologies that can be implemented to help speed the journey towards a smart and eco-friendly country.
In recognition of the dedicated services provided by the Dubai and Sharjah Outdoor Cleaning Staff, MECTW have launched the ‘Unsung City Cleaning Heroes’ campaign. The campaign supported by Dubai Municipality and Bee’ah, will award 4 cleaners from Dubai and 2 from Sharjah with a cash prize of AED 3000 and a certificate of appreciation. The award ceremony will be held on November 2ndat the MECTW exhibition.
Middle East Cleaning Technology Week will also play host to the Excellence Awards that identifies the ‘difference makers’ in the hospitality and laundry industry. The Excellence Awards incorporates three categories; Best Room Attendant, Exceptional Public Area Attendant and Best Supervisor-Room. Winners walk away with a cash prize and a certificate.
