Cocoona Dubai’s Boutique Aesthetic Transformation Centre today announced the arrival of the hair transplant robotic system one of its kind in Dubai at its Al Wasl Centre.
The ARTAS® Robotic System is a computer-assisted, physician-controlled technology for hair transplantation in the world. The new Robot will eliminate the challenges generally associated with traditional transplant methods and deliver higher accuracy and incredible end-results.
Dr. Sanjay Parashar, Consultant Plastic Surgeon and Founder of Cocoona, said: “Cocoona is the first in the run to have the ARTUS Robot. The Robot brings new technology and skill to Dubai. The ARTAS Robotic Procedure is a minimally invasive hair transplantation solution that leverages digital imaging and precision robotics to harvest healthy grafts for transplantation. Unlike the earlier methods of hair transplantation, there is no need for the surgical removal of a strip of scalp from the back and sides of the head, no linear scar is left after your procedure and there is no need for stitches or staples to close the wound. The benefits are quick recovery time, ability to return to normal activities sooner and wear any hairstyle you want.

The ARTAS® system will pose a big challenge to the traditional solutions. The biggest will be predictability. With 3D modeling, patients will be able to see the final results and predict the looks in advance and adjust as required beforehand. Thus eliminating guesswork and misunderstanding. ARTAS is capable to harvest 1000 grafts per hour in optimized conditions and can also create the site map with similar speed. This precision, speed, consistent and perfect angles helps in completing the hair restoration quicker.
The system uses high-resolution digital imaging that extends physician capability, removes the potential for human error attributable to fatigue. The Robot also posses intelligent image guidance algorithms that optimize individual follicular unit harvesting, resulting in precise procedures and consistent results. Physicians can harvest thousands of follicular units from the surrounding needed tissues in a single session, performing the procedure with uniformed results.
In addition the robot also has advanced algorithms that underpin the entire technology. These analyze each hair follicle to select the healthiest grafts based on a number of criteria, drastically increasing the chances of re-growth.
