Stadium, the region’s most exciting chain of multi-brand sports stores, has announced it will be joining in the fun at Beach Run DXB on Saturday 16th January, 2016. Supported by Daman Active Life and organized by Sport360, Beach Run DXB is taking place on Sunset Beach near Jumeirah Beach Hotel, and thousands of runners of all ages and abilities are expected to turn out for Dubai’s first ever beach running event.
Designed to make the most of Dubai’s sandy beaches and gorgeous winter weather, Beach Run DXB is the perfect opportunity to put those New Year’s Resolutions into practice and get the whole family up and running in the city’s great outdoors. Open to all ages, it’s a fantastic way to boost your fitness levels on the sand, or just enjoy a gentle jog or family walk in the morning sunshine along one of the city’s most stunning stretches of coastline.
Starting from 7am, the fun community event includes a 1.8km Family Run, a 3.6km Fun Run for more adventurous runners, plus a 7.2km Relay Run for teams of four. Priced at AED99 for adults, AED66 for under-14s and AED300 for a relay team, the entry fee also includes a race bag and race t-shirt.
A celebration of fun, fitness and family, there will also be a post-race party and carnival atmosphere at the Runners Village, with plenty of activities and entertainment once the race is complete. Interactive Zones include a fitness stage with DJs, live music and dancers, a children’s area with bouncy castle, face painting, balloons and sand castle competitions, and a mouthwateringly healthy food festival if you’ve worked up an appetite along the way.
