Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes Review

Black Tap, a NYC burger joint set up by Michelin-starred chef Joe Isidori, offers scrumptious food that looks like its on steroids and shakes that are gravity defying, in a deliciously good way. From crazy, overflowing milkshakes to bursting burgers and sandwiches with outrageously decadent ingredients, Black Tap has left a dent on the burger and shake scene in the UAE.

A good burger is like a fine piece of art, satisfying, yet a messy manifestation of all things :succulent beef, gooey American cheese, tomatoes, lettuce and all ready to be further stacked up with your heart’s content of Avocado, bacon and pickles and there’s a lot of creativity and expertise behind all this ostentatious grub, The curated chef menu boasts quirky combos such as the pear bacon jam burger, a blue-cheese–topped steak au poivre, a red-sauced pizza-style burger and a falafel Burger for our Vegan friends.

The simple to browse yet stacked menu is split into burgers, tacos, salads, sides and wings ( obviously there has to be wings, it’s an American spot remember?) we start off with starters that include Guacamole and Chips, Fried Mozarella Cheese and the Kale Super Food before delving into the main course and the most ubiquitously Instagrammed shakes.

Burgers

PEAR BACON JAM BURGER: Oozy, gooey, juicy, a handsome aristocratic two-hander prime burger that lands a magnificent beefy punch accompanied with crumbled blue cheese, pear bacon jam, truffle mayo and crispy kale.

THE GREG NORMAN: is a wagyu beef beast delivering a massive thwack of satisfaction coupled with house buttermilk-dill, blue cheese, arugula

THE PIZZA BURGER: Is it a Pizza or a Burger? Lose yourself in this beauty. A prime burger served with zesty tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella and shaved parmigiano reggiano.

Shakes

As for the milkshakes, well it seems they’ve taken the Internet and Instagram in particular by storm. They are the very definition of eye candy. We needed another post just to boast about this beauty.
