Dubai, February 2016: The Sagittarius Strikers franchise, owned by Danube Group is upbeat over their chances to qualify for semi finals in the on- going Masters Champions League (MCL) 2020. The team is placed second on points table and has maintained a healthy net run rate after opening two matches.
In their opening game, Sagittarius Strikers sealed a comfortable 26-run victory over Virgo Super Kings as New Zealand legend Shane Bond’s 3 for 22 in four overs helped his side seal a victory and for his impressive bowling performance, he was named the man of the match. Though the team lost a close encounter to Capricorn Commanders in the fifth match of the tournament.

The MCL, which will feature a total of six teams playing in the Twenty20 format, has already got the approval from the International Cricket Council (ICC). The league will feature only retired international players.

The Master’s cricket league T20 will be giving the fans another opportunity to witness their cricketing stars once again playing the shortest format of cricket. The Master’s T20 league to be played in the emirates will witness all the major cricketing stars those who don’t play any form of cricket now. The league has been approved by the emirates cricket union and the Federation of International cricketers.
