GCC Inmates Week 2015 activities
Activities within mall focused on “Together We Make a Change” campaign
Abu Dhabi, December, 2015: Dalma Mall, one of the most preferred shopping, retail and entertainment destinations in Mussafah – Abu Dhabi, hosted a number of activities as part of the Fourth Unified Gulf Cooperation Council [GCC] Inmates Week 2015, between December 20 and 23, 2015.
The GCC Inmates Week 2015, was held under the theme “Together We Make a Change”, and encompassed a number of interactive, informative and entertaining events throughout the four-day outreach at Dalma Mall.
The GCC Inmates Week 2015 activities, which was held within the mall, commenced with a performance by Abu Dhabi Police music band, and included a number of sessions, exhibitions, magic shows, film screenings and competitions – both for the inmates as well as the audience & the shoppers.
Mr. Bhupinder Singh, General Manager & CFO at Dalma Mall, said: “Dalma Mall has always played its part as a responsible member of the UAE community, and we are happy to contribute to the Fourth Unified GCC Inmates Week. Our objective was to support this noble initiative and help build a cohesive facility. We were very grateful to having offered the inmates and their families happiness and relief through our support to this cause again.”
Entertainment activities throughout this campaign included film screenings on the job market by HCT, as also a special screening of film Sundouk Al Faraj for the inmates, magic show and competitions including focus on Khwarizmi College, lecture on medical services, magic show, K9 Police Dog show, films and competitions.
Other activities included lectures on drug abuse, screening of a film on National Rehabilitation Centre, talk on emergency and safety, competitions and magic show. The last day [December 23] witnessed a presentation by the Abu Dhabi Education Council, apart from magic show and the K9 Police Dog show.
