Dubai, UAE, March 17, 2019:On the 18th of January 2019, Weill organized their first ever fashion show to showcasetheir AW19 collection. The show was held at the Ritz – the iconic Parisian palace.
Founded in 1892, La Maison Weill created theirown ready-to-wear identity in the 1950’s and ever since, it has personified the French flair.
Mathilde Castello Bianco, who has been appointed as the Artistic Director of the brand more than a year ago, embodies this family heritage in her creations. She makes sure to preserve the richness and the savoir-faire of the brand.
She designed the AW19 collection based off a cinematic and romantic stroll around Paris. A true love letter to the French cinema of the 1960’s and to the “Nouvelle Vague” in particular. The collection is deemed like a happy encounter between Catherine Deneuve and Jane Seberg.
Around 30 silhouettes were presented with looks matching the wardrobe of a modern Parisian. The right balance between nonchalant elegance and sophistication.
